Ullambana Ceremony 2026

Join us

This will be our summer Big Gathering and an important opportunity to come together for RKUK’s annual Ullambana Ceremony.

Whether you have been practising for years, are reconnecting after some time away, or are completely new to RKUK and Buddhist practice, you are warmly welcome to join us.

The Ullambana Ceremony is a time to remember our ancestors and loved ones with gratitude, and to reflect on the many lives, causes and conditions that support our own life today. Through sutra recitation, chanting, reflection and gathering as a sangha, we share prayers, gratitude and connection in a peaceful and friendly space.

If you wish to attend in person, please sign up using the form below. This really helps us prepare properly and make sure everyone feels warmly welcomed, especially if it is your first time.

If, for any reason, the sign-up form does not appear, or if you would like to join online, please don’t hesitate to email us: info@rkuk.org

Refreshments

Light refreshments will be served before the ceremony from 12:00 to 1:00 pm, and after the ceremony from 3:00 to 4:00 pm. Please feel free to stay, enjoy and connect with the sangha.

Fee

Free of charge. There is no obligation, but donations are always gratefully appreciated if you wish.

You can make a donation through PayPal here.

Monthly memorial day of Shakyamuni Buddha (Uposatha Day)

Monthly memorial day of Shakyamuni Buddha is a ceremony held on 15th day of the month, an occasion of renewing our vows and pledging further practice in the middle of the month. One of RK’s monthly memorial days, which includes sutra recitation, reading President's monthly message, and Hoza (Dharma circle).

Event

Sunday Service

A gentle weekly service where we pause at the start of the week, offer gratitude for the days that have passed, and renew our intention to live with care and awareness. Through sutra recitation, Dharma readings, and quiet reflection together, many people find this a supportive place to begin or continue their Buddhist journey.
