O-daimoku chanting practice at lunchtime

Chanting ‘Namu Myoho Renge Kyo’ (known as daimoku or o-daimoku in Japanese) signifies the vow that we take refuge wholeheartedly in the teachings of the Lotus Sutra and practise it as taught.

We chant daimoku for 10-15 minutes on this occasion, not in a self-centred manner, keeping an empty mind or praying for world peace or the happiness of people close to us. This practice will make us empowered and purify both our mind and body.

To learn about daimoku chanting, please read here.
